Our client, a growing Life Insurer, is seeking a Real Estate Credit Rating and Research Senior Analyst to lead the development, maintenance, and oversight of risk and rating frameworks for its Real Estate Credit portfolio.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced credit risk professional to work closely with fund managers, contribute to high-impact investment decisions, and ensure the robustness of ratings and risk assessments in a dynamic and evolving market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and document Real Estate Credit risk and rating frameworks.
  • Analyse the Real Estate Credit portfolio and new investment opportunities, communicating findings effectively.
  • Complete annual reviews of external manager and internal ratings.
  • Work with fund managers to assess proposed transactions, reviewing markets, peers, structures, and documentation.
  • Monitor loan portfolios and ensure effective information flow.
  • Lead the development of internal rating criteria and processes.
  • Contribute to the internal risk model, aligning internal and external methodologies.
  • Participate in Credit Committees, providing challenge and insight.
  • Stay informed on market and regulatory changes impacting Real Estate Credit risk.
  • Drive data management and process improvement initiatives.

About You

  • Experience in asset management, investment, or a rating agency within Real Estate Credit.
  • In-depth knowledge of Real Estate credit risks and rating methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of the UK regulatory environment for life offices.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
