Our client, a leading pensions consultancy with an excellent reputation for technical delivery and career development, is seeking a Benefit Correction Specialist to join their growing team. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced pensions professional to take ownership of high-profile benefit correction and GMP projects, while progressing in a supportive, people-focused environment.

You’ll play a key role in delivering complex benefit correction projects, initially focused on GMP reconciliation and equalisation, before moving into broader benefit review and rectification work. The role offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to work collaboratively across actuarial, administration, and consulting teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support delivery of GMP equalisation and wider benefit correction projects.
  • Manage data reconciliation processes between scheme and HMRC records.
  • Review and check benefit correction calculations and project documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth project implementation.
  • Draft and review client reports, providing updates and insights on project progress.

About You:

  • Background in Actuarial, technical, or pensions administration work.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with a good understanding of DB pensions.
  • Experience of GMP equalisation or benefit correction projects is advantageous.
  • Project management experience and confidence managing your own workload.
  • Part-qualified actuary, qualified actuary, or pensions professional with equivalent technical experience.
