Our client, a growing Life Insurer, is seeking an Actuarial Modelling Developer to join their Actuarial Development team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the development and enhancement of Actuarial models, automation workflows, and technical systems that support critical business and reporting objectives.

 

This position would suit a candidate with Actuarial model development experience within a UK Life insurer. It’s an exciting opportunity for an ambitious professional looking to take ownership of technical model development, drive process improvement, and contribute to the delivery of robust Actuarial solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and enhancement of Actuarial models and technical systems.
  • Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications.
  • Develop, test, and maintain Actuarial models, automation workflows, and Actuarial systems.
  • Produce high-quality model documentation and testing evidence in line with governance standards.
  • Support ongoing model maintenance and platform updates.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve actuarial processes and ways of working.
  • Ensure outputs are produced in line with internal controls, actuarial standards, and governance frameworks.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Part-Qualified Actuary or stop-studier.
  • Experience in Actuarial model development within a UK Life insurer.
  • Practical experience with actuarial modelling platforms, ideally RAFM, Mantle, or Unify.
  • Strong technical capability in Python or similar programming tools.
  • Knowledge of Solvency II, UK GAAP, or US GAAP reporting frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
