Our client, a highly respected and established pensions consultancy, is seeking a Senior Pensions Actuarial Leader to join their South West practice in a key leadership position. This is a rare opportunity to become a senior figure within an established team, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future growth and success of the regional business during an exciting period of transformation.

 

This position offers the opportunity to combine technical actuarial expertise with client leadership, business development and strategic influence. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of driving commercial growth across the South West market while helping to shape the direction of the practice.

 

Responsibilities of the Senior Pensions Actuarial Leader:

  • Lead and develop key client relationships across the South West region
  • Drive business development and commercial growth initiatives
  • Identify, initiate and convert new business opportunities within the market
  • Influence regional strategy and contribute to the ongoing evolution of the business
  • Act as a senior ambassador for the firm within the South West pensions market
  • Support, mentor and develop colleagues within the team
  • Option to take on people management responsibilities and contribute to the growth of the regional practice
  • Represent the company through networking events, industry committees and market engagement activities

 

Skills/Experience Required for the Senior Pensions Actuarial Leader:

  • Fully Qualified Actuary with significant post-qualified experience
  • Extensive experience within DB pensions consulting
  • Strong client relationship management skills and commercial awareness
  • Existing network within the South West pensions market, or the ability and ambition to build one
  • Proven business development capabilities and a track record of winning and growing client relationships
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Scheme Actuary Certificate would be advantageous but is not essential
