Senior Pensions Administrator
Our client, a leading UK Pensions Consultancy, is seeking an experienced Senior Pensions Administrator to join their Bristol office. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative pensions administration team, taking ownership of complex Defined Benefit pension schemes while supporting the development of junior colleagues and delivering an exceptional service to clients and members.
Working across a varied portfolio of occupational pension schemes, you’ll handle a broad range of administration activities, provide technical expertise, and play an active role in mentoring team members. This role is ideal for an experienced pensions administrator looking to further develop their technical skills and progress their career within a well-established consultancy.

Key Responsibilities:
- Administer Defined Benefit pension schemes, including complex member calculations and casework
- Review and check work completed by junior team members, providing guidance and technical support
- Maintain accurate member records and ensure work is completed within agreed service levels
- Respond to member, trustee and client enquiries by phone, email and letter
- Support the delivery of annual and ad hoc project work
- Liaise with clients, actuaries, payroll providers and other third parties
- Ensure compliance with pensions legislation, scheme rules and internal quality standards
About You:
- Previous UK Defined Benefit pensions administration experience
- Strong technical knowledge of pensions legislation and administration processes
- Experience checking work and supporting less experienced colleagues
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and customer-focused approach
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
- Working towards, or willing to study for, a professional pensions qualification is advantageous
