Pensions Operations Manager – Defined Contributions
Our client, a leading UK Pensions Consultancy and Administration business, is seeking a Pensions Operations Manager to join their growing DC Administration function.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Pensions professional with strong Defined Contribution expertise to take on a senior operational leadership role, managing a DC Master Trust Member Administration team and playing a key role in the continued development of the wider DC administration function.
Combining technical DC pensions knowledge with people management, operational delivery, quality assurance and client relationship responsibilities, this role will suit someone who enjoys developing teams, improving processes and ensuring consistently high standards of service for clients and scheme members.
You’ll join an established DC administration function, working alongside experienced pensions professionals and wider teams across the business. The role provides the opportunity to influence how the function operates, contribute to strategic change and support the continued growth and development of the DC proposition.

Key Responsibilities of the Pensions Operations Manager – Defined Contributions position:
- Lead and develop the DC Master Trust Member Administration team, providing effective people management, mentoring and support
- Oversee the delivery and quality of DC administration services, including complex member queries and complaints
- Drive continuous improvement across processes, systems and service delivery
- Support recruitment, training, performance management and resource planning across the function
- Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, supporting client meetings and new business activity
- Contribute to proposals, tenders and client presentations, supporting the commercial development of the function
- Support wider business change and the implementation of new processes and systems
About You
- Experienced Pensions professional with strong Defined Contribution Administration experience
- Proven people management experience within a pensions administration environment
- Strong technical knowledge of DC pensions, including complex member-related queries
- Good understanding of DC governance requirements; Master Trust experience would be advantageous
- Confident communicator with strong client and stakeholder management skills
- Strong focus on quality, compliance and continuous improvement
- APMI qualified or equivalent experience would be advantageous
