Our client, a leading international Consultancy, is looking for an Actuarial Associate Consultant to join their growing DB Pensions Consulting team.

 

Working across a diverse range of Corporate and Trustee clients, you’ll take on increasing responsibility for the delivery and review of Actuarial work, while developing your client management and advisory skills.

 

This role would particularly suit someone who has progressed from a primarily ‘do-er’ role into a position where they are now checking and reviewing work for most or all of their client portfolio, rather than being responsible solely for the production of calculations.

 

The position is available from multiple offices across the UK, with hybrid working offered as standard. Most colleagues spend 2-3 days a week in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting senior colleagues in advising a range of Corporate and Trustee pension schemes
  • Taking responsibility for the delivery of Actuarial work across your client portfolio, including reviewing calculations and advice produced by junior colleagues
  • Undertaking and reviewing Actuarial work including individual member calculations, valuations and accounting disclosures
  • Attending client meetings and calls, supporting senior colleagues and taking on increasing responsibility for client relationships
  • Managing the delivery of client work and keeping clients updated on a range of pension issues
  • Working with specialist teams on projects including GMP Equalisation, Risk Transfer, Member Options and Investments
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and the delivery of client work
  • Supporting the development and training of more junior Actuarial colleagues

About You:

  • Part Qualified and making good progress through your Actuarial exams, or Nearly Qualified
  • Previous experience within a DB Pensions Consulting environment
  • Experience of reviewing or checking Actuarial work for clients
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly
  • Confident communicator who can build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
