Senior Actuarial Consultant – Trustee focused
Our client, a market-leading Consultancy, is looking for an Actuarial Consultant to join their established Trustee Consulting team.
Working across a diverse portfolio of clients, you will take ownership of your own client relationships and be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of high-quality Actuarial advice. You will work closely with Trustees, Pensions Managers and senior stakeholders, while supporting Partners and senior colleagues on larger and more complex clients.
The role offers flexibility to focus entirely on Trustee Consulting or to take on a split role, combining Trustee Consulting with other technical areas depending on your interests and experience.
This position can be based from multiple offices across the UK, with hybrid working offered as standard, typically spending 2-3 days a week in the office. The role is available on a full-time or part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Actuarial advice to Trustees on a range of strategic pensions issues, including valuations, funding negotiations, integrated risk management, member options and Risk Settlement
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day management of client relationships, acting as a key point of contact and developing those relationships over time
- Support Partners and senior colleagues in servicing larger and more complex clients
- Lead and project manage Actuarial projects, including valuations and factor reviews
- Take responsibility for the quality of technical work delivered to clients, including reviewing work produced by junior colleagues and calculation teams
- Delegate work appropriately and support the development of more junior actuarial colleagues
- Contribute to new business opportunities, networking and developing relationships with prospective clients
- Have the opportunity to contribute to wider market initiatives and thought leadership
About You:
- Qualified Actuary or very Nearly Qualified Actuary
- Previous experience within DB Pensions Consulting
- Experience managing client relationships and delivering Actuarial advice to Trustees
- Strong technical understanding of Pensions, with the ability to consider both detailed and wider strategic issues
- Confident communicator, comfortable leading discussions with Trustees, Pensions Managers and other senior stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients and competing priorities
- Collaborative approach, with an interest in developing and supporting more junior colleagues
