Our client, a market-leading Consultancy, is looking for an experienced Post Transaction Specialist to join its growing Pension Risk Transfer team.

 

This role sits within a specialist team that supports Trustees and Sponsors as they move from buy-in through to buy-out and ultimate wind-up. Working closely with insurers, legal advisers, administrators and wider de-risking specialists, you will play a leading role in delivering successful outcomes for clients.

 

You’ll take ownership of complex projects, manage relationships with key stakeholders and help clients navigate the practical, technical and legislative requirements associated with buy-out and wind-up.

 

There will also be opportunities to contribute to team strategy, business development initiatives and the continued growth of this fast-expanding area of the market.

 

The role would suit someone from a Pensions Consulting, Risk Transfer or Bulk Annuity background who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent project management and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Consultant – Post Transaction Team:

  • Lead clients through the transition from buy-in to buy-out and ultimate wind-up.
  • Build and manage relationships with Trustees, Sponsors, insurers and advisers.
  • Develop and oversee detailed project plans, ensuring delivery to agreed timescales.
  • Coordinate complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Identify risks and issues, developing pragmatic solutions.
  • Lead client meetings and presentations.
  • Oversee project budgets, financials and risk management.
  • Support new business initiatives and tender activity.
  • Contribute to wider team strategy and proposition development.
  • Mentor and develop more junior colleagues.

About You

We’re looking for someone with strong experience in Pensions Consulting, Pension Risk Transfer or a Bulk Annuity provider.

  • Strong technical knowledge of pension scheme wind-ups and insurer post-transaction processes.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • A strategic and solutions-focused mindset.
  • Experience contributing to new business activity.
  • A collaborative approach and an interest in mentoring colleagues.

Project management qualifications would be advantageous, but are not essential.
