Our client, a partner-led actuarial consultancy known for their commitment to quality and employee wellbeing, is seeking an Actuarial Consultant to join their Life Insurance Consulting team.

This role is ideal for a Part-Qualified or Nearly Qualified Actuary with prior experience in life insurance, either within consulting, insurance, or reinsurance. You’ll work on a variety of technical projects including IFRS17, Solvency II, Risk & Capital management, with opportunities to gain exposure to Longevity and General Insurance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work across projects involving IFRS17, Solvency II, ORSA, internal model validation, audit, and risk management.

  • Develop, run, and review actuarial models using Excel, R, and Python.

  • Draft client reports on a range of technical topics.

  • Take ownership of tools within the actuarial team and assist with training new team members.

  • Attend client meetings and contribute to new business development.

  • Mentor and support junior actuarial staff where appropriate.

  • Opportunities to gain experience in Longevity and General Insurance work.

About You

  • Part-qualified or nearly qualified actuary with life insurance experience (consulting, insurance, or reinsurance).

  • Strong communication skills with ability to engage clients and colleagues.

  • Motivated to progress and develop technical and client management skills.
