Our client, a partner-led actuarial consultancy with an excellent reputation for quality work and employee wellbeing, is seeking a Senior Consulting Actuary to join their Life Insurance Consulting team.

This role is perfect for a fully qualified actuary with solid Life Insurance experience gained either in consulting, insurance, or reinsurance. You’ll work across a variety of exciting projects involving technical areas such as IFRS17, Solvency II, Risk & Capital management, with opportunities to gain exposure to Longevity and General Insurance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver technical advice across projects including IFRS17, Solvency II, ORSA, internal model validation, audit, and risk management.

  • Collaborate with existing clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored, high-quality solutions.

  • Support business growth by assisting with proposals and pitches to potential clients.

  • Mentor and manage junior actuarial staff, providing guidance and reviewing their work.

  • Opportunities to broaden experience with Longevity, General Insurance, or secondments.

About You

  • Fully qualified actuary with UK life insurance experience (consulting, insurance, or reinsurance).

  • Experience managing or mentoring junior team members is beneficial but not essential.

  • Prior involvement in new business generation is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
