Our client, a London Market insurer, is seeking a Capital Actuary to oversee the development and application of an internal capital model. This role offers the opportunity to influence risk management strategy across multiple business areas and engage directly with senior leadership.

Your Responsibilities

• Operate the capital model, ensuring accurate calibration, run scenarios, and deliver reliable outputs.
• Lead model development: identify and prioritise model limitations, manage the model change process, and explore future areas of enhancement.
• Embed model use within risk management, developing the model’s role as a risk appetite metric and a tool for identifying emerging risks.
• Identify and develop new applications for the capital model across the organisation.
• Document and communicate model outputs and results clearly to stakeholders at all levels.

About You

• Qualified Actuary with several years’ experience in capital modelling.
• Strong understanding of capital modelling principles and practical experience in model operation and development.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders effectively.
