Our client, a leading actuarial insurance practice, is seeking an Actuarial Senior Manager to join their Non-Life Insurance team. This role offers exposure to a range of technical projects beyond traditional reserving, including strategic, consulting, and transactional work.

 

You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality actuarial advice, managing junior team members, and contributing to business development, while gaining hands-on experience in strategic and consulting projects that extend beyond traditional actuarial boundaries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of complex actuarial projects ensuring quality and timely completion.
  • Manage and develop junior team members, fostering their personal and professional growth.
  • Provide expert actuarial advice across reserving, capital, pricing transformation, and audit support.
  • Support business development activities and contribute to practice leadership.
  • Identify and manage project risks, proposing practical solutions.
  • Engage with clients and internal teams to deliver actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Drive improvements in actuarial processes and technology adoption.

 

About You

  • Qualified Actuary
  • Significant experience in UK non-life insurance actuarial reserving, with exposure across multiple lines of business.
  • Proven track record of managing projects and leading teams effectively would be highly beneficial.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to apply actuarial knowledge in practical client contexts.
  • Excellent communication skills, confident in presenting and leading discussions with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of Python, R, or other programming languages is advantageous.
