Risk Actuary
Our client, a leading UK General Insurer, is seeking a Qualified Actuary or Nearly Qualified Actuary to join their Financial Risk team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Actuary with strong technical expertise to work directly with senior stakeholders, support solvency management, and play a pivotal role in shaping the financial resilience of a major general insurance business.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver insights and recommendations on Financial Risk, Capital, and solvency management.
- Support strategic decision-making for Investment, Reinsurance, and bonus distribution.
- Analyse complex scenarios, including extreme events such as severe weather and market shocks.
- Communicate complex Actuarial concepts clearly to senior and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the business and foster strong working relationships.
About You
- FIA or FFA Qualified, or willingness to achieve full qualification if part-qualified.
- Experience in General Insurance Actuarial or Consultancy roles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders.
