Our client, a leading Pensions Consultancy, is seeking a Qualified Actuary to join their expanding DB Pensions Consulting team. Working with a broad portfolio of Trustee and Corporate clients, this role offers the opportunity to advise on a diverse range of core Actuarial services alongside innovative, market-leading projects. You’ll take ownership of a varied client portfolio, acting as a trusted adviser across a range of DB pension schemes while collaborating with colleagues on more complex assignments. Whether your interests lie in traditional Actuarial consulting, Risk Transfer, GMP equalisation, integrated Risk Management, or Corporate advisory work, you’ll have the opportunity to shape your role around the areas that interest you most while continuing to broaden your experience. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Actuarial advice to a range of Trustee and Corporate DB pension schemes
  • Lead the delivery of core Actuarial work, including valuations, accounting exercises, PPF levy calculations, individual member calculations and factor reviews
  • Contribute to specialist projects aligned to your experience and interests, including Risk Transfer, GMP Equalisation, Integrated Risk Management, Liability Management, Asset & Liability Modelling, Plan Design Strategy and Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Build and develop strong client relationships, attending client meetings and delivering high-quality advice
  • Review work completed by junior colleagues, providing coaching, mentoring and technical support
  • Manage multiple client projects while maintaining a high standard of technical delivery

About You:

  • Fully Qualified Actuary (FIA or equivalent)
  • Strong experience within UK Defined Benefit Pensions Consulting
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A proactive approach with a genuine interest in developing junior colleagues and building long-term client relationships
