Our client, a market-leading consultancy with one of the UK’s largest and most established Pensions Data teams, is seeking a Pensions Data Consulting Director to join their growing practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Pensions professional with strong Defined Benefit expertise to take on a senior, client-facing role, supporting some of the UK’s largest Pension schemes with complex data challenges, data improvement strategies and future strategic initiatives.

Combining technical pensions knowledge with consulting, relationship management and business development responsibilities, this role will suit someone who enjoys working closely with trustees, pension managers and senior stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes.

You’ll join a highly regarded Pensions Data Solutions team, working alongside specialists across pensions administration, Actuarial, technology and project management to deliver innovative solutions for a diverse portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a trusted adviser to Pension Managers, Trustee Boards and senior stakeholders across a portfolio of Defined Benefit pension schemes
• Lead complex Pensions data consulting engagements, helping clients improve, understand and maximise the value of their scheme data
• Develop and deliver client data strategies, including data improvement, benefit rectification and GMP-related projects
• Manage multiple projects and workstreams, ensuring high-quality delivery and strong commercial outcomes
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including administrators, actuaries, legal advisers, technology specialists and suppliers
• Support business development activity by identifying opportunities to grow client relationships and introduce new solutions
• Coach and mentor colleagues, contributing to the continued growth and development of the Pensions Data practice

About You

• Experienced Pensions professional with strong knowledge of UK Defined Benefit schemes
• Proven experience delivering client-facing pensions consulting projects and presenting to senior stakeholders, trustees and pension managers
• Confident communicator, able to explain complex technical concepts clearly to a range of audiences
• Experience across pensions data projects, including data auditing, cleansing, GMP projects, benefit rectification or pension administration systems would be highly beneficial
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities while building trusted client relationships
