Consultant – Post Transaction Team
Our client, a market leading Consultancy, is looking for a Post Transaction Specialist to join its growing Pension Risk Transfer team.
This role sits within a specialist team that supports Trustees and Sponsors as they move from buy-in through to buy-out and ultimate wind-up. Working closely with insurers, legal advisers, administrators and wider de-risking specialists, you will help ensure a smooth and successful transition for schemes at a key stage of their journey.
You’ll be involved in a broad range of projects, supporting clients through post-transaction activities, developing detailed project plans and helping to navigate the practical, technical and legislative requirements associated with buy-out and wind-up.
The role would suit someone from a Pensions Consulting, Risk Transfer or Bulk Annuity background who enjoys project management, stakeholder engagement and delivering successful client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities of the Post Transaction Specialist:
- Support clients through the transition from buy-in to buy-out and ultimate wind-up.
- Build relationships with Trustees, Sponsors, insurers and other advisers.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring projects progress to agreed timescales.
- Coordinate and manage post-transaction activities across multiple stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve issues as they arise, finding pragmatic solutions to keep projects moving.
- Support client meetings and presentations.
- Monitor project risks, budgets and delivery milestones.
- Contribute to new business activity and client development initiatives where appropriate.
- Support and mentor more junior colleagues as your experience develops.
About You
We’re looking for someone with experience in Pensions Consulting, Pension Risk Transfer or a Bulk Annuity provider.
- Strong UK pensions technical knowledge.
- An understanding of Pension scheme wind-up requirements and post-transaction processes.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- Experience presenting to clients or supporting client meetings.
- A collaborative approach and a desire to build strong client relationships.
Project management qualifications would be advantageous, but are not essential.
