Our client, a leading UK General Insurer is looking for a Senior Pricing Analyst to join their growing Pricing team. The Senior Pricing Analyst will play a key part in optimising pricing strategies to improve customer outcomes, support the insurance strategy, and enhance the overall profitability of the function.

Collaborating closely with the Pricing Manager, you will design and implement sophisticated solutions to continuously refine pricing strategies.

This position also offers the chance to explore emerging technologies and contribute to strategic initiatives, such as advancing model sophistication and leveraging cutting-edge data science techniques to drive profitable growth.

Our client seeks an experienced Senior Pricing Analyst, (or a Pricing Analyst ready to take a step up), with proven experience in Personal Lines pricing across Motor, Travel, Pet or Home Insurance.

 

Responsibilities of the Senior Pricing Analyst:

  • Drive pricing strategy while providing subject matter support on strategic projects.
  • Design and implement pricing models using tools like Radar and Emblem, ensuring compliance with pricing fairness and data usage policies.
  • Track and assess the impact of pricing changes after implementation, recommending adjustments and further investigations as necessary.
  • Utilise advanced techniques, including machine learning, to analyse and interpret business data, identifying market trends, product opportunities, and emerging rating factors.
  • Support the development of junior colleagues in the team

 

Experience of the Senior Pricing Analyst:

  • Significant experience in personal lines pricing across Motor, Travel, Pet or Home Insurance is critical.
  • Proficiency in modelling software like Radar or Emblem, as well as programming languages such as SQL, R, or Python, is vital, along with a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements in pricing.
  • Experience in actuarial pricing, statistical modelling, and machine learning techniques is highly desirable.
