Our client, a leading UK General Insurer is looking for an Actuarial Analyst to join their Reserving function.

The Actuarial Analyst will collaborate with colleagues in the Reserving team to work across IFRS17, regulatory reporting, capital modelling and transformation projects. In this role the Actuarial Analyst will collaborate with colleagues in multiple functions

Full training and development is on offer with the role, including Actuarial study support for those pursuing an IFoA qualification,

 

Responsibilities of the Actuarial Analyst:

  • Contributing to all aspects of Solvency II requirements, including quarterly and annual reporting templates
  • Ensuring transparency and proper documentation of actuarial team processes.
  • Engaging in detailed claims analysis to explain trends.
  • Delivering high-quality reports and analysis for quarterly and monthly reporting.
  • Building and utilising models with tools such as Power BI, Python, and R.
  • Supporting and building relationships with other actuarial teams and the broader business.

 

Experience of the Actuarial Analyst:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive, with a strong eagerness to learn, and a high degree of enthusiasm and self-motivation.
  • Experience with ResQ and SQL is advantageous.
  • Clear and effective communicator.
  • Part-qualified Actuary or relevant experience Actuarial experience
