Our client, a market-leader in Risk Transfer Consulting, is looking for an Actuarial Consultant to join their Risk Transfer Consulting team. Working across a diverse client base, you will be part of an established, market-leading team, engaging with a variety of external stakeholders. In this role, you will advise clients throughout their de-risking journey.

This position can be based from multiple offices across the UK. Hybrid working is offered as standard, with most colleagues spending 2–3 days a week in the office, alongside flexibility to increase remote working as needed.

The Actuarial Consultant role is available as a full-time or part-time position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on various risk transfer transactions including buy-ins/buy-outs, longevity swaps, and scheme wind-ups
  • Deliver strategic guidance to clients considering risk transfer options
  • Engage and collaborate with external stakeholders such as insurers, reinsurers, trustees, and sponsors
  • Support business development activities and new client opportunities
  • Mentor and train junior actuarial colleagues as appropriate

 

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Fully Qualified Actuary or very Nearly Qualified
  • Prior experience in Risk Transfer or BPA transactions from Pensions Consulting or Life Insurance roles
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
