Actuarial Pensions Consultant – Market Leading Consultancy
Our client, an industry leading Consultancy, is looking for an Actuarial Pensions Consultant to join their growing DB Pensions Consulting team. Due to the wide variety of clients they advise, there is huge scope for you to tailor the role responsibilities to your individual experience and preferences.
The Actuarial Pensions Consultant position would likely see you taking a lead role on small-medium clients whilst supporting on larger and more complex clients. You would be part of an established, market-leading team with a supportive and collaborative culture across teams and offices.
The Actuarial Pensions Consultant role can be offered from multiple offices across the UK. Hybrid working is offered as standard, with most colleagues spending 2 days a week in the office, although there is also flexibility available to allow more working from home.
The Actuarial Pensions Consultant can be offered as a full-time position or on a part-time basis.
Responsibilities of the Actuarial Pensions Consultant:
- Typically advising a range of Corporate or Trustee pension schemes
- Opportunities to advise in specialist areas such as GMP, Risk Transfer, M&As and Asset Liability Modelling
- Reviewing and checking work undertaken by more junior colleagues
- Contributing to bespoke client projects
- Attending client meetings and managing delivery of client work
- Leading the day-to-day management of small-medium sized clients, providing updates on a variety of issues
- Supporting more senior colleagues on large and complex client accounts
- Opportunities to manager, mentor and train junior Actuarial colleagues
Skills/Experience required for the Actuarial Pensions Consultant:
- Fully Qualified Actuary
- Prior DB Pensions Consulting experience or BPA experience from a Life Insurance role
- Strong communication skills
