< Back to Job Search

Our client, a market-leading Big 3 Consultancy, is looking for a Part Qualified Pensions Actuary to join their growing Pensions Consulting team. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a broad portfolio of high-profile clients — from FTSE 100 companies to large pension schemes — while progressing your career in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

The role is ideal for someone who has moved beyond a purely technical “do-er” role and is now confidently operating at a “checker” level for most or all client work. The position comes with full study support and the flexibility to explore specialist areas, including Risk Transfer, GMP Equalisation, or Member Options, alongside core DB actuarial consulting.

This role can be based from several UK offices. Hybrid working is offered as standard, with most colleagues spending 2–3 days per week in the office.

Why Join This Consultancy?

  • Work at one of the world’s leading consultancies, known for innovation, client impact, and career progression
  • Access varied, high-impact client work across a broad portfolio of schemes
  • Develop your skills with full study support, mentoring, and clear progression pathways
  • Be part of a collaborative and inclusive team culture with genuine flexibility
  • Explore specialist areas or tailor your role to match your interests and strengths

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Support the delivery of advice to Corporate and Trustee pension scheme clients
  • Undertake individual member calculations, valuations, and accounting disclosures
  • Review technical work completed by more junior colleagues
  • Contribute to client project work in specialist areas such as Risk Transfer, GMP Equalisation, and Member Options
  • Provide regular client updates and assist with day-to-day relationship management
  • Attend selected client meetings and help manage delivery timelines
  • Support the mentoring and training of junior actuarial team members

About You:

  • Part Qualified Actuary making progress through the actuarial exams, or experienced non-studier
  • Prior experience in DB Pensions Consulting or BPA experience within Life Insurance
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • A proactive team player looking to deepen their technical and commercial expertise

Benefits Include:

  • Annual performance-based bonus
  • Competitive Pension Plan
  • 25 days holiday (with option to buy/sell additional days)
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Full actuarial study support (study days + financial support)
  • Regular team outings and social events
  • Hybrid working model (2–3 days per week in the office)
